- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers - Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences - Maintain a clean and organized bar area - Check identification to ensure legal drinking age - Handle cash transactions and operate cash register or POS system - Monitor customer behavior and intervene as needed to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food orders for customers - Prepare garnishes for drinks and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked Skills:
- Strong knowledge of basic math for calculating bills and making change - Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures - Experience in banquet bartending, including setting up bars for events, serving large crowds, and managing multiple drink orders at once - Proficient in bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails, pouring beer, and serving wine - Excellent sales skills to upsell drinks and promote specials or featured items - Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts - Familiarity with the food industry, including knowledge of popular drink pairings with different types of cuisine - Experience using Aloha POS system or similar software for order processing and payment transactions - Knowledge of brewing techniques and craft beer selection is a plus Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
